The JS-400: Top Specs For Cheap
The core of the JS-400 is formed by a basswood body that comes mounted with a set of HSS pickups. This combination of a bridge humbucker and two single-coils guarantees the tonal flexibility needed to roam from hard-rock and blues to punk and pop, while the premium-grade roasted Canadian maple neck not only enhances the stability, but the aesthetics. Topped off with a modern two-point tremolo bridge, this electric guitar has been fully prepped to go all out.

Geweldige gitaar. Ik heb diverse USA strats gehad en deze Jet JS-400 is minstens zo goed of beter. Perfecte lak en hals. De looks zijn in het echt nog beter dan op de foto. Het geluid van de pickups is ook heel goed, het echte strat geluid wat je wilt bij zo'n gitaar. Ik heb wel direct de snaren vervangen door een 10-setje, de bone topkam wat verder ingevijld, de hals een fractie rechter gezet en de actie van de gitaar verlaagd naar 1,6mm op de 12e fret.
Het fretwerk is overigens ook heel goed. Als je een nieuwe gitaar koopt (ook hele dure) zijn de frets nooit helemaal perfect zoals dat na een beurt "fret vlakken" wel het geval is. Bij de Jet waren er maar 2 fretten iets te hoog (de 8e en 21e). De rest was goed (getest met fretrocker). De twee te hoge frets heb ik zelf gevlakt, wat niet moeilijk is. Tot slot heb ik de hoogte van de pickups naar mijn eigen voorkeur verlaagd. Dit lijkt misschien veel werk allemaal, maar als je je gitaar perfect wilt hebben moet je dit bij vrijwel elke nieuwe doen (ook de hele dure). Ik ben super blij met deze gitaar! En dat voor een absolute spotprijs!
